Aomori prefecture to host Iter research centre

Governor Shingo Mimura has reportedly said that his Aomori prefecture will accept a state request for hosting a research centre related to the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (Iter).

The research centre, located in the village of Rokkasho, will have four facilities, including those related to projects involving the remote control of an experimental reactor and next-generation reactor designs, the Kyodo News Service reported.
