Yucca Mountain receives another go-ahead

The US Senate energy and natural resources committee has voted 13-10 to approve Yucca Mountain. The announcement follows a resolution approved by the House of Representatives by 306-117. The committee's approval now means that the resolution will be moved to the full Senate for the final vote.
