Westinghouse SG services to stay on

Exelon Nuclear and Westinghouse have agreed that Westinghouse will continue to provide steam generator services at the Byron 1 and 2 and Braidwood 1 and 2. The agreement will run for six years and is worth $50 million.

Westinghouse will provide primary and secondary steam generator services performed during 12 refuelling outages, which will be conducted from 2003 through 2008. The agreement also includes incentives based on quality or service as well as general site-outage performance objectives. The company has provided steam generator services at Braidwood since 1989 and Byron since 1999.
