Westinghouse in deal with CNNC

Following the clearance given by the US government to market nuclear power technology in China, Westinghouse has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the China National Nuclear Corp (CNNC). Under the agreement, the two will work together on developing nuclear power technology and to undertake nuclear power projects in China and third countries. The two are already collaborating in developing a Chinese version of Westinghouse’s AP 600 passive reactor design.
