Veolia establishes company for nuclear clean-up projects

France based multinational Veolia has consolidated its nuclear cleanup businesses into a new company called Veolia Nuclear Solutions.

The new company - incorporating Kurion, Alaron and Asteralis - offers services for cleaning-up and dismantling nuclear installations, and treating low-level and medium-level radioactive waste.

Veolia Nuclear Solutions operates mainly in the US, France, the UK, Japan and Canada. It is the only international operator working at Fukushima-Daiichi on behalf of Tokyo Electric Power Company. In France, Veolia Nuclear Solutions has an agreement to work with the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission.
