UPGRADING FIRE RESISTANCE

30 April 1998

Following a successful series of independently performed qualification tests, NoFire Technologies Inc has launched production of its NoFire textile, a fire-retardant material designed to be incorporated in fire-proofing systems for critical components such as control cable runs in nuclear power stations. The company has just received its first order for such an application from an undisclosed major US utility for the upgrade of fire protection measures.

The light weight, low cost and superior characteristics claimed for resistance to heat and fire are expected to attract interest from most nuclear plants.
