Ukraine buys Russian

Ukraine’s Energoatom has entered into a nuclear fuel purchase deal with Russia’s TVEL. Energoatom president Nur Nimatullin has said that Ukraine will buy $209 million worth of fuel and pay $57 million for spent fuel removal this year.

The deal will supply Ukraine’s South Ukraine and Rovno plants. Last year Energoatom bought nuclear fuel worth $209.9 million from TVEL.
