UK Nuclear Decommissioning Authority announces new CEO

John Clarke has been announced as the new CEO of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) following the departure of Tony Fountain in December.

Clarke has worked in the international nuclear industry for over 30 years in a range of operational, commercial and business leadership roles. He joined the NDA Board in 2008 from Sellafield Ltd where he spent five years as head of environmental, health, safety and quality (EHSQ), followed by three years as director of production.

Clarke is Chairman of INS Limited, and a Director of Pacific Nuclear Transport Limited (PNTL) and Britain's Energy Coast West Cumbria (BECWC). He will take up his new post at NDA from 2 April 2012.
