Turkey Point licences renewed

The operating licences of Turkey Point 3 and 4 have been renewed for an additional 20 years by the NRC. The licence for unit 3 was due to expire in 2012, and that of unit 4 in 2013. Such 20-year licences have now been granted for a total of 10 US reactors at five sites. A further 13 applications are currently being reviewed.
