The high flux reactor at the European Union (EU) Joint Research Centre's institute of energy, at Petten, the Netherlands, has successfully tested a new cure for brain tumours caused by skin cancer. The centre said this boron neutron capture therapy killed cancer cells while leaving healthy tissue unharmed.
