Tepco plans to improve its operating procedures and shorten the time spent on inspections in order to increase the percentage of capacity used at its nuclear power plants from 80% to 85%. The time mandated for inspections will be cut from 40 days to 32 days. The improved procedures should be in place at all of Tepco's reactors by March 2004.
