Supply of a visual inspection system for the outer surface of the VVER-1000 reactor pressure vessel, Ukraine, (Deadline: 11 November 2009)

State Enterprise National Nuclear Energy Generating Company "Energoatom", hereinafter referred to as "the Purchaser", intends using part of the proceeds of the Loan for K2 R4 Post Start-Up Safety Modernisation Programme (the Loan) being administered by the EBRD (the Bank) towards the cost to supply and incorporation of the manipulator for the reactor pressure vessel visual inspection from outside for the Unit 4 of the Rovno Nuclear Power Plant.

This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this project which was published on European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's (Bank's) 'Web Site Procurement Notice' N° 5962-GPN-34838, issued June 18, 2009.

The Purchaser now invites sealed tenders from Suppliers for the following contract to be funded from part of the proceeds of the Loan and includes the following:

- Supply of a visual inspection (VI) system for the outer surface of the VVER-1000 reactor pressure vessel (hereafter referred to as the VI system "SOKRAT") at the unit 4 of the Rovno Nuclear Power Plant

Languages: English and Russian.

Deadline: 11th of November 2009, 11-00 AM (Kiev time)

Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of the Loan from the Bank will be subject to the Bank's 'Procurement Policies and Rules' and will be open to firms of any country.
