STEAM-FLOW MEASUREMENT

30 April 1998

The Innova-Mass Model 240 is a multi-parameter vortex mass flow meter developed for steam flow measurement applications by Sierra Instruments of Monterey, California.

For this type of application the durability, corrosion resistance and the high temperature and pressure capabilities are important characteristics. The meter gives a direct reading of steam flow in lb/hr or kg/s. It gives both analog and digital outputs for mass flow, volume flow, temperature, pressure and fluid density with a single penetration of the pipeline. It is available in both in-line and insertion type configurations and gives either local or remote readout. The instrument’s “smart” electronics and built-in flow computer permit field configuration of fluids, ranges, alarms, outputs, totaliser and engineering units.
