SNC-Lavalin to replace steam generators for Bruce

Canada’s SNC-Lavalin Nuclear has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract to replace the steam generators at units 1 and 2 of Bruce Power's Bruce A nuclear power station.

The project will see eight steam generators replaced, a first for Candu trechnology.

Work on Bruce, located near Kincardine on Lake Huron approximately 250km from Toronto, is now under way and is due to be completed by June 2008.
