Self-monitoring camera

30 August 2001

The DC-18 dosimeter camera from ROS uses a radiation sensor for continuous monitoring and recording of both external radiation levels and the camera’s accumulated dose.

Alarm indicators shown on a TV monitor let the operator know when the camera has been exposed to enough radiation to warrant its replacement.

Other features include: an 18:1 zoom lens, automatic focus and a SuperHAD CCD sensing device for enhanced resolution and colour rendition. The camera’s anodised housing is corrosion-resistant and sealed for use underwater.
