Research reactor for St Petersburg

A PIK high-flux heavy water research reactor is planned to be started near St Petersburg in 2003. Director of the Nuclear Physics Institute at Gatchina Vladimir Nazarenko says the aim is to use the reactor as the basis for an international centre for neutron studies.
