Entergy Operations has awarded a contract for fabrication and replacement of steam generators and the reactor vessel head at its Arkansas Nuclear One unit 1 PWR to Framatome ANP.
In the project, valued at more than $60 million, Framatome ANP will fabricate both the new steam generators and the vessel head at its Chalon St Marcel facility in France. It will complete the replacement in an outrage in September 2005. Framatome ANP will also be responsible for associated engineering and licensing activities.
ANO-1's licence was recently extended to 2034.
