The scope of the project is to provide a thorough description of the present conditions of both a disposal and an interim storage site located in Georgia. To this aim different activities are foreseen. First, a comprehensive survey will be performed, as well as an assessment of the present characteristics of the sites and of the existing radioactive waste data. The assessment will be completed by data to be determined through radioactivity measurements and/or measurement of samples taken from the facilities. Based on the above survey and assessment, a detailed analysis and planning will be prepared for the way forward to the safety assessment of the facilities and the identification of equipment and further training needs.

Budget:

Maximum budget: 1 000 000 EUR.

Scope for additional services:

The contracting authority may, at its own discretion, extend the project in duration and/or scope, subject to the availability of funding, up to a maximum not exceeding the length and value of the initial contract. Any extension of the contract would be subject to satisfactory performance by the contractor.
