Triconex, a supplier of safety systems and critical control applications, has reached an agreement with Matrikon to jointly market Matrikon''s OLE for process control (OPC) server alongside its own Tricon and Trident controllers.
Matrikon's OPC server enables communication between the Tricon or Trident controllers and any OPC client. The server supports both OPC data access and alarms and events specifications and provides complete redundancy and fail-over capabilities.
The Tricon fault-tolerant control system is used for emergency shutdown, burner management, turbomachinery control and fire and gas systems.
