Onet and China’s CNPEC sign nuclear MOU

France’s Onet Technologies and China Nuclear Power Engineering Company Ltd (CNPEC) have signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in five main areas covering decommissioning to services for operational plants.

This agreement, which covers Europe and China, spans the following areas: decommissioning of nuclear installations, decontamination, nuclear waste treatment and management, engineering services for nuclear plants in construction and operation, and nuclear site services for nuclear plants in operation.

“Our intention is to use the solutions developed by Onet Technologies for the plants we build in China, and during the design of our new plants models,” said Guogang Shu, general manager of CNPEC Ltd.

President of Onet Technologies, Dominique Mouillot said the MOU “will position Onet Technologies on international architect engineering contracts with a prestigious partner “

The MOU, which was signed on 11 July 2012, was announced in statement on 26 July.
