New spent fuel container

St Petersburg based company Izhorskiye Zavody has developed a container for spent submarine and RMBK fuel. The metal-concrete canister can be used to transport waste and store it for up to 50 years. They were manufactured as part of an international programme involving Russian, United States and Norwegian defence ministries.
