Massive Chinese investment

Pakistan invited massive Chinese investment in nuclear power projects worth $3.9 billion to increase the country’s nuclear power capacity by 2100MWe in the next 15 years.

Shaukat Aziz, Pakistan’s Finance Minister, said: “The immediate proposal in hand is extending the Chasma project, that has been built with Chinese support. The plan is to raise its capacity by 300MWe to 600MWe with additional investment of $669 million.”
