Labour for nuclear submarine repair, USA (Deadline: 16 July 2011)

The Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP), Groton, Connecticut intends to execute a job order under basic ordering agreement N00024-10-G-4304 or N00024-10-G-4305 to provide Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNSY), Portsmouth, New Hampshire, with approximately 11,400 man-hours of trade support in order to support on-going submarine repair work at PNSY. The potential prime contractors are Electric Boat Corporation, a General Dynamics Company located at 75 Eastern Point Road, Groton, CT 06340-4989, and Huntington Ingalls Industries-Newport News Shipbuilding located at Newport News, VA 23607. This order will be issued pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1). The proposed agreement action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit under the authority of FAR 6.303 utilizing Class J&A number 40,744.

This announcement is restricted to nuclear-qualified shipyards.
