Kozloduy plea

Five socialist European Parliament members have visited Bulgaria’s two condemned Kozloduy reactors, calling on the European Union (EU) to be more flexible over their closure.

Branding the move “crazy”, British Labour MEP Terry Wynn said: "I am convinced that units 3 and 4 are as safe as any western reactor," warning their shutdown would cause power cuts in Balkans countries importing electricity from Bulgaria.
