Kepco to select contractors

Korea Electric Power Company (Kepco) has said that it plans to select construction companies for three new nuclear plants in 2002. Orders for two 1000MWe units at Shin-Kori are scheduled for January, to be followed by two 1300MWe units at Shin-Wolsong in June and two more 1000MWe units at Shin-Kori in December. The budget for the advanced pressurised water reactors (APWR) is $12.8 billion.
