Jacobs buys share in AWE Management

UK-based Jacobs Engineering Group Inc has completed the purchase of a one-third share in AWE Management from British Nuclear Fuels Limited (BNFL).

AWE, founded in 2000, is a joint venture between Jacobs, Lockheed Martin and Serco to manage the Atomic Weapons Establishment on behalf of the UK Ministry of Defence.

In making the announcement, Jacobs president and CEO Craig Martin stated, "We have been serving as a strategic supplier to AWE for a number of years and are delighted to now have a key contributing role with our partners Lockheed Martin and Serco.”
