The Intermediate Level Waste (ILW) Dissolution Project forms part of the named sites Decommissioning activities. The sites propose to use a mobile/transportable facility that can be relocated over the storage vaults in turn as the vaults are cleared. It is the intention to select a sole supplier to undertake the work for all identified sites and any other Magnox sites, to standardise equipment and approach.
Where appropriate equipment will be modularised to enable use at more than one site, dependant on programme constraints. Of the 4 currently identified sites, Bradwell is planned to commence first, followed by Hinkley and Sizewell in parallel and then Oldbury.

Duration in months: circa 120 months, subject to change in the event of external constraints and/or the extension of the programme to include other Magnox sites (from the award of the contract).
