Expression of interest Kozloduy Repository Project Management Unit Consultant, Bulgaria (Deadline: 16 January 2012)

The State Enterprise Radioactive Waste (SERAW) intends to use The Kozloduy International Decommissioning Support Fund (KIDSF), administered by the EBRD for financing the service of a 'Decommissioning Project Management Unit (DPMU) Consultant' for the continuation of the implementation of the decommissioning programme of Units 1-4 of Kozloduy NPP and for the management of the construction of the National Radioactive Waste Disposal Facility for the period of 2012-2014.

The 'DPMU Consultant' shall assist SERAW in general programme and project management, preparation of technical specifications and engineering documents, procurement and contract management. The Consultant shall further provide SERAW the assistance with regard to nuclear safety, licensing, quality assurance, interface and risk management, environmental due diligence, financial aspects of decommissioning and training of SERAW personnel.

It is anticipated that the assignment will start in the second half of 2012 with duration of three (3) years.

The estimated budget for the project is EURO 15 million; exclusive of VAT.

Consultants from eligible countries are invited to submit Expressions of Interest. The short listed candidates will be invited to submit proposals in line with the EBRD Procurement Policies and Rules. Eligible countries as of 1 December 2011 are: EU member states, Switzerland and the EBRD countries of operation.
