The supplied equipment will allow carrying out radiation monitoring not only on territory contaminated as a result of the accident at Chernobyl NPP but also on territory in zones of the potential influence of other NPPs. This equipment will permit the ongoing surveillance of plutonium and americium contamination. The procurement of modern devices will significantly enhance the technical capacity of the ministry and specialists in the field of radiation safety.

Indicative number and titles of lots:

Lot 1: mobile motorised radiological and chemical laboratory (for analysis of the radiological elements in human bodies, spectrometric analysis; equipment mounted in a minibus/transporter).

Lot 2: mobile robotic complex for search and localisation of gamma and X-ray sources especially at contaminated sites.

Lot 3: real-time portable gamma-ray imaging system for in situ gamma measurement of local radioactivity at nuclear sites.

Lot 4: vehicle for radiation reconnaissance.

8.Intended timing of publication of the procurement notice:

3rd quarter 2010.

Remarks:

There must be a minimum period of 30 calendar days between the publication of this contract forecast and the publication of the corresponding procurement notice.
