Ekor poised for market

Ekor poised for market Eurotech says that the first Ekor product – Ekor Sealer – has passed rigorous performance tests with flying colours. The performance tests included chemical resistance, volatile organic contact, permeability, adhesion, weathering, salt spray, ignitability, leachability, ageing, compressive strength and flame spread/smoke development.

The sealer has been shown to provide a barrier on irregular, unprepared, corroded and even wet surfaces. It may be used to coat entire nuclear waste containers or to repair existing containers, tanks or drums that are leaking contaminants into the environment. The company claims that it is ideal for long-term patching of waste containers that range in size from 55-gallon drums to million- gallon tanks.

Chad Verdi, Eurotech’s chairman said: “With the completion of acceptance testing and the business development and engineering team now in place, Eurotech is in position to deliver on the technological promise of Ekor.” In the upcoming months, Eurotech expects that it will be able to roll out the first members of the Ekor product family. The sealer will be followed by coating, grout, matrix and foam products.
