DSS in safety system deal

3 July 2002

Data Systems & Solutions (DSS), a US-based company, said that it had been awarded a pilot contract to provide safety systems for Novovoronezh 5. The contract was approved following the completion of site acceptance testing procedures. Under the contract, DSS will install, commission, and launch a safety parameter display system. The system allows plant staff to monitor the reactor under both normal and adverse conditions. It also ensures that data from the plant will be available to the nuclear crisis centre in Moscow.
