The Authority has a requirement for the supply and support of a fully tested software package capable of extracting and recording Dosimeter personnel radiation doses data, its control and management. This will have a minimum of 10 years in service.

The DDMS capability must include:

a) An acceptable software package that has the capability to record personnel doses from active dosimeters that will fully function/integrate with the MOD Dii network system and have the ability to share data with an approved dosimetry service (ADS).

b) Active Dosimeters to provide a record of received dose.

c) Hardware capable of extracting data from Dosimeters and transferring it to the software package.

The Contractor shall be responsible for:

a) The development of the capability.

b) All aspects of system integration (systems and platform).

c) The supply network.

d) Delivering the capability onto nuclear submarines and dockyards with little or no platform modifications.

e) Overall management of the DDMS.

f) Engagement with the bi-annual DDMS configuration control board.

Interested parties must be familiar with this field of work and have the proven expertise and experience required in delivering and supporting such a requirement as this.

A pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) shall be issued to all those who express an interest to evaluate suitability. Candidates shown to be suitable shall be asked to demonstrate their solution before issue of any invitation to Tender (ITT).

Prior to the issue of any PQQ and ITT, it is proposed to invite those who have expressed an interest to a Project Briefing at Abbey Wood on Monday 24.5.2010, which will expand further the details of the requirement and give the envisaged procurement strategy and programme.

The Authority invites expressions of interest from Industry for the aforementioned requirement.

Scope: The requirement is for a 5 year supply and support contract.

Estimated value excluding VAT: 1 700 000 GBP.
