Curtiss-Wright takes over manufacture of Rosemount instrumentation products

10 December 2012

Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Company's Scientech business unit has entered into a Technology Assignment Agreement with Rosemount Nuclear Instruments, Inc. (RNII) to establish a continued source of supply and support for the Model 710 Trip/Calibration System line of instrumentation products, which are widely used for safety related applications in boiling water reactors (BWR).

Under the agreement, Scientech will take over all design, manufacturing and field support for the 710 product line effective 1 January 2013.

In a statement Curtiss-Wright commented: “Following RNII's announcement of its decision to discontinue the line, the nuclear power industry expressed a need for continued support. This agreement fills that need by providing repair, refurbishment services and newly manufactured products.”

"The addition of this product line will provide improved support to our BWR clients, while also expanding our ability to help solve obsolescence problems," said David Linton, president, Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Company.
