Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Company has announced that Jim Leachman has been named senior vice president and general manager of its nuclear group.

Leachman joined Enertech in 1992 as vice president, sales & marketing and rose to the position of president. Curtiss-Wright acquired Enertech in 1998 and he retained that position until he became vice president and general manager of the commercial power & services division of Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Company in 2005. Under his leadership, Curtiss-Wright acquired its Nova, Trentec and Scientech business units, positioning the company as a leading supplier of products and services for today’s existing nuclear reactors as well as for the planned new construction globally.

Before joining Enertech in 1992, Mr. Leachman spent 15 years in the petrochemical and power industries, holding various positions at ITT Grinnell Corporation and Republic/EMJ.

“Under Jim’s leadership, the Nuclear Group has implemented comprehensive operational excellence programs and expanded the product portfolio through strategic teaming agreements and acquisitions while continuing to generate strong growth and profitability, said Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Company President David Linton in announcing the appointment.

The Curtiss-Wright nuclear group provides products and services to nuclear power plants, DOE sites, U.S. national research laboratories and engineering firms engaged in commercial nuclear generation related activities. It includes four business units: Enertech, Nova, Trentec and Scientech.
