Croatia sends bill to Slovenia

3 November 2002

The Croatian Power Industry (HEP) said that it had sent a bill of $6.8 million to Slovenia's power company ELES and the nuclear plant in Krsko.

The bill refers to the costs of HEP's capital in the Krsko plant and costs of buying power from more expensive plants to replace that which would have been delivered by Krsko. The total amount requested since 1 August 1998, when Slovenia ceased transmitting electricity from Krsko, is $265 million.
