Convert UF6

United States, An anti-terrorism bill put before both the US House of Representatives and the Senate contains a provision requiring the DoE to construct facilities at both the Portsmouth and Paducah enrichment plants to convert depleted UF6 into a less hazardous material. If Bush signs the bill into law, DoE must select a contractor within 30 days and the facilities would have to be completed by 31 July, 2004.
