This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this project which was published in 'Procurement Opportunities' on the EBRD website: ref. 6030-GPN-4807 dated 19 November 2009.

The State Specialised Enterprise "Chernobyl NPP", hereinafter referred to as the Purchaser, intends using part of the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the Liquid Radwaste Treatment Plant Completion Project.

The Purchaser/Employer now invites sealed tenders from potential contractors for the following contract to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan:

• The provision of all labour, maintenance, supervision, equipment, materials and transportation means and all other things, whether of a temporary or permanent nature, required for Completion of the Radiation Monitoring System of the ChNPP Liquid Radwaste Treatment Plant, design and other necessary auxiliary work

The work will be carried out in Ukraine, at SSE "Chernobyl NPP" site.

Duration of work – 13 months from the Commencement Date.

Tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank is open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations. Eligible countries as of today are EU member states, Canada, Japan, Norway, Switzerland, USA, and the EBRD countries of operation.

Tender Documents may be obtained from the office at the address below. If requested by a potential tenderer, the Tender Documents will be promptly despatched by courier; however, without liability for loss or timing of delivery.

ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION:

All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security in the sum 30,000 Euros or the equivalent in any freely convertible currency.

Tenders must be received at the office indicated below by or before 2nd September 2010 12 noon local time Kiev, at which time they will be opened in the presence of those Tenderers who choose to attend.
