Commercial operation at Rajasthan 4

INDIA On 25 December the fourth unit at the Rajasthan Atomic Power Station was declared in commercial operation.

The unit, which belongs to India's Nuclear Power Corporation, is a 220MWe pressurised heavy water reactor of Indian design. It reached criticality on 3 November 2000 and was synchronised with the northern grid on 17 November, according to an NPC statement.
