China's Jilin province to build 5GWe of reactors

Reports from SinoCast China Business Daily News state that the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China has approved northeastern China's Jilin province to build 5GWe of nuclear power units.

According to comments attributed to Li Jinxiu, deputy director of Jilin provincial economic commission, the plant would be located at Baishan, about 370km east of Changchun.

Preparation for building the plant has already begun.
