Centronic wins AGR contract

Centronic has received a major contract from Ultra Electronics Command and Control Systems.

The contract is for the long-term manufacture and management of neutron flux detectors for a number of AGR reactors in the EDF Energy UK Fleet. The high integrity sensors are a key element of the safety systems that monitor the safe operation of nuclear plant.

Centronic chairman Neil Foreman said that Centronic currently supplies detectors across a number of reactor technologies.
