Canberra wins Iraq d&d contract

Areva subsidiary Canberra of Belgium has won a public European tender for waste drum characterisation, uranium lab equipment, plus pumps of various types, in Iraq.

The tender was for decommissioning of nuclear facilities, including site and radioactive waste management.

The tender was an external aid programme on behalf of Iraq.

Three tenders were received. The contract value was not published.
