Canberra launches dose monitor

Canberra has introduced the Sirius-5 Hand, Cuff and Foot Personnel Contamination Monitor. The monitor uses background trending software with an optimized counting geometry to maximize monitor throughput while assuring thorough contamination control.

Sirius-5 can be networked with Canberra’s current line of contamination monitors for remote supervision of system activity. Options include several types of card readers for user identification as well as a frisker to enhance monitoring ability. The Sirius is suitable for use in demanding environments and has application is nuclear power plants, fuel cycle facilities and laboratory environments, the company said.
