Bushehr delayed

1 May 2007

Following an invitation to tender for the design, equipment supply, construction and commissioning of two third generation PWRs at the site, Iran’s Bushehr development is now not expected to be completed until 2008.

According to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors, more than 1,300 centrifuges at the Natanz enrichment site are now in operation but the start up will, nonetheless, be postponed.
