British Nuclear Group Project Services wins Sellafield contract

BIL Solutions, British Nuclear Group Project Services’ detection and measurement business, has won a three-year contract to supply specialist measurement services to British Nuclear Group Sellafield.

The contract, which is potentially worth up to £400,000 ($740,000) per year, will involve work on sites at Sellafield, Calder Hall, Capenhurst and the Low Level Waste Repository and will include gamma spectroscopy, radiation imaging surveys, gamma measurements of fission and activation products, and neutron and gamma measurements of fissile materials.

All these specialist services are required in support of reprocessing plants, decommissioning, waste treatment and storage at the four British Nuclear Group sites.
