BEIS seeks technical advisers for nuclear projects

The UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has issued an award worth £4m ($5.5m) to Arup Corporate Finance Limited for “Technical advisers in relation to the development of new nuclear projects in the UK”, public procurement data analyst Tussell reported on 3 March.

BEIS is seeking to appoint technical advisers in relation to the development of new nuclear projects in the UK, including but not constrained to proposed new nuclear projects at Wylfa, Newydd and Moorside, being developed by Horizon and NuGen. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding concerning the challenges and solutions to developing large-scale nuclear projects - including risk allocation, financing considerations and liability management. The contract notice was published on 17 February.
