AREVA/KIT to run nuclear school for five more years

23 July 2013

AREVA and the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT) are to continue running the AREVA Nuclear Professional School (ANPS) for five more years.

ANPS, founded in 2009, provides in-depth nuclear knowledge through a range of courses intended for experienced engineers and physicists new to the nuclear field during week-long seminars with hands-on exercises.

The program is based at the university in Karlsruhe, and the teaching staff includes professors from the Technical Universities of Stuttgart and Munich. Courses are also offered abroad in countries that are committed to nuclear new build programs, such as Great Britain and Finland.

"Through the AREVA Nuclear Professional School, we have built an alliance which secures our extensive nuclear competency on the highest level and guarantees top-quality education," explained Andreas Class, Honorary Professor at the Institute for nuclear and energy technology and Managing Director of the school.
