Another month of shutdowns

Rovno 3 was shut down after operators found a steam leak from its turbine system. During the time it was shut down the boom of a crane at the site of unit 4 (currently under construction) fell onto some electrical cables causing a fire. Two transformers were damaged, which led to automatic safety systems shutting down unit 2. Unit 1 is undergoing repairs.

Another shutdown occurred at Zaporozhe 3 at the request of the national energy company to reduce the share of electricity generated by nuclear power stations and improve the regulation characteristics of the national power grid.
