Radwaste agency Andra has been asked by the French government to draw up a precise inventory of France’s radioactive wastes. Currently, information about the nature and location of nuclear waste in France is dispersed among various producers and companies. The initial inventory is expected in 2003, and will be revised in 2006, in time for a planned parliamentary debate on the country’s high level waste.
