Agreement on Borssele

The Netherlands is belived to have signed a deal with the owners of the Borssele reactor that will allow it to operate until 2033, its full lifespan, as long as it is safe to operate.

The deal will require the owners of the 450MWe reactor to support sustainable energy projects to the tune of €250 million.
